UBS fined over reporting breach

Swiss investment bank UBS has been fined CHF100,000 (£66,000) for the late publication of internally available information relating to expected losses in summer 2007.

This delay was a breach of the provisions on ad hoc publicity. The fine followed an investigation by the sanction commission of SIX Swiss Exchange, which also focused on whether UBS’s 2008 annual report breached provisions of the directive on information relating to corporate governance.
